Quantum Magnetometer

Ultra-stable, three-axis magnetic field measurements for research and industrial applications.

In fields ranging from fundamental research to advanced industrial applications, the need for stable, ultra-sensitive magnetic field measurement is growing rapidly. Whether you are conducting atomic physics experiments, calibrating MRI systems or monitoring powerful magnets in particle accelerators, even the slightest drift or interference can compromise your results.

This is where Kwan-tek’s High Field NV Magnetometer comes into play — a compact, reliable and cutting-edge instrument designed to deliver exceptional precision, stability and flexibility for magnetic field monitoring and control.

Why choose a quantum magnetometer?

Traditional magnetometers, while well established, face significant challenges when it comes to ultra-low drift, wide dynamic range and long-term stability. Variations in temperature, mechanical vibrations or electromagnetic noise can distort measurements and make calibration time-consuming and costly.

Our quantum magnetometer, based on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center diamonds, offers a unique advantage: it uses a quantum property of NV doped diamond crystals to read the magnetic field directly through the electron spin resonance of NV centers. This means the measurement is absolute, drift-free and highly resilient to thermal fluctuations — even under varying operating conditions.

High-Stability Magnetic Field Measurement for Research

Magnetic field stability is essential for experiments in atomic physics, quantum optics and precision instrumentation. Even small field fluctuations can affect measurement repeatability and experimental performance.

Kwan-tek’s High Field NV Magnetometer enables researchers to monitor three-axis magnetic fields and support active field stabilization systems.

Its low-drift measurement principle makes it particularly relevant for applications such as cold atom experiments, precision spectroscopy, magnetic field calibration and the development of advanced scientific instrumentation.

The compact remote sensing probe allows measurements close to the region of interest, while the control unit facilitates integration into laboratory monitoring and control systems.

Quantum magnetometry for industrial instrumentation

Industrial and scientific instrumentation increasingly requires reliable magnetic field measurements for equipment calibration, process monitoring and system development.

Kwan-tek’s High Field NV Magnetometer combines a compact sensing probe, digital measurement output and low-drift magnetic field monitoring capabilities.

It can support the development and validation of magnetic systems, the characterization of magnetic components and the integration of high-stability magnetic measurements into specialized equipment.

Our team works with research and industrial partners to evaluate sensor integration requirements, measurement conditions and application-specific configurations.

How does an NV-Diamond quantum magnetometer work?

Kwan-tek’s High Field NV Magnetometer uses nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond as quantum sensors.

When illuminated by laser light and excited by microwaves, NV centers produce an optical signal whose resonance characteristics depend on the surrounding magnetic field.

By analyzing these resonances, the system measures the magnetic field vector along three axes.

The sensing element is integrated into a compact remote probe connected to a control unit, enabling precise magnetic measurements in laboratory and industrial environments.
